The theme of this winter’s Christmas illuminations is “100 twinkle sounds ~ Fanfare for the future ~”, and an authentic Christmas tree with a height of 7m will decorate the large stairwell, which can be said to be the symbol of OMOTESANDO HILLS.
The tree is decorated with 100 reused wind instruments, cloud-shaped glowing balls, metallic ball ornaments, ribbon ornaments, and LED illuminations.
In the special sound and light production (about 2 minutes) that takes place every 20 minutes, the cloud-shaped glowing balls and LED illuminations blink in time with the Christmas song, and the entire atrium space shines.
About 100 reused wind instruments
At this Christmas, the design aspect of wind instruments such as “beauty of form and beauty of modeling as an object” and the positive image of wind instruments often played at ceremonies such as “Public holidays, uplifting, solidarity” Focus on and use it as a tree ornament.
By collecting real wind instruments such as trumpets, trombones, and saxophones that have left their owners’ hands for various reasons, polishing each one, and reusing it as a brilliant ornament, it becomes an instrument that has finished its role of playing music. Bring a new life to life. A total of 100 wind instruments are used. In addition to the number 100, the number “100” also means “many things, many things”.
In recent days, the chances of listening to the performance of musical instruments, sharing the space with someone, and feeling the joy and solidarity of gathering with a large number of people are decreasing, but the 100 glitters gathered together.
