The five piece band Mrs. GREEN APPLE are now down to three band members.
It was announced on the official website that Yamanaka Ayaka (drums) and Takano Kiyokazu (bass) have left the band.
According to the statement, the band asks to support the two people who spent Phase 1 together and that the band is preparing for the opening of Phase 2 in 2022.
Yamanaka released the following statement, “I am sorry that you are surprised by the sudden announcement. I, Yamanaka Ayaka, have decided to leave Mrs. GREEN APPLE. I’m sad that I couldn’t directly say “goodbye” and “thank you” to everyone who was looking forward to the reunion. I’m sorry. Until now, with the overwhelming support and power of everyone. The support from everyone was the biggest driving force. I cannot thank you enough. I am now moving towards what I want to do, that dream. It may look different, but I will do my best to believe that one day I will meet you again. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us, those who are involved, and everyone involved. We look forward to your continued support for Mrs. GREEN APPLE”.
Takano Kiyokazu’s statement is as follows, “I have decided to withdraw from Mrs. GREEN APPLE. The members who have worked hard together so far, faced everything seriously, and were supportive even when I decided to quit. I’m really happy to meet such wonderful people. I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who supported us, all the staff and people involved so far. I’m really thankful to you. All the time spent as Mrs. GREEN APPLE and all the encounters are important treasures. Mrs. will make a new start in 2022. We look forward to your continued support of GREEN APPLE”.
The remaining three members Omori Motoki (vocals/guitar), Wakai Hiroto (guitar) and Fujisawa Ryoka (keyboard) issued the statement, “It’s not Mrs. if you don’t have 5 people! We think so too. I think you were surprised by the sudden announcement. Of course, there are various thoughts and conflicts, but anyway, we want to respect their decisions as much as possible. We are just full of feelings “Thank you for many memories” to Ayaka and Takano. Even as we write this, we cannot express enough of our gratitude to them. I can’t tell you all. There is no doubt that we are on a different path, but we will continue to be a family. So don’t worry. Thank you again for supporting Phase 1. We are still preparing for Phase 2 now. We would like to release it in 2022 so that we can be proud of it. Phase 2 of Mrs. GREEN APPLE, a new chapter is about to begin. Above all, we can’t help looking forward to seeing you again”!
