SMAP, the five (formerly six) member Johnny’s Jimusho group featuring Nakai Masahiro, Kimura Takuya, Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Katori Shingo which began in 1988 and disbanded on December 31, 2016, still remain popular with each member doing their own activity.
But once in awhile, fans will start going on Twitter to post anything SMAP, may it be in hopes of the group reuniting or if a member mentions SMAP on television. But for today, #SMAP is trending for no special reason, but for fans wanting to post about the group.
Nevertheless, it’s cool to see people reminisce on Twitter of one of Japan’s best male groups ever.
