Kanechika Daiki completes NTV’s 24-hour charity 100km marathon

Comedy duo EXIT member Kanechika Taiki completed NTV’s 24-hour charity 100km marathon (62 miles). Kanechika started at 7:30 p.m. on August 27th and finished at 8:43 p.m. on August 28th.

A flood of emotions overcame Kanechika, who served as a solo charity runner for the first time in five years and said he had set a goal to always smile towards the passerbys and also towards the camera.

At Kanechika neared the finish line with about 10 minutes remaining until the end of the program, Kanechika said, “The timing to cry was a bit early. Right here, right? I should have cried here, but I cried when I saw Kaga (Sho) from Kagaya. Reflecting on showing tears in front of the goal. On the other hand, he said, “(The finale) was to reach the goal without letting them sing ‘Sarai’, but it’s a good time to reach the goal”.
