Former AKB48 turned actress Iriyama Anna (26) updated her Twitter account on September 20th and reported that she is safe after Mexico was hit with a magnitude 7.6 earthquake on Sept. 19th.
In 2018, Iriyama studied abroad and her career has done well in Mexico and even appeared in a Mexican drama.
Iriyama tweeted, “Everyone in Mexico, are you okay? I live in Mexico City. The power went out for a while, but now it’s back on. I hope everyone is safe. Anyway, September 19th…”.
Iriyama responded in Spanish, “I was very scared but everything is fine here, thanks for worrying about me. In fact, normally at that time on Monday I am in a Uber leaving for class, but today I was at home because the teacher had to delay the time. Everything happens for a reason… Anyway, take good care of yourselves”.
