HIKAKIN issued an apology video on YouTube.

Back on August 7th, HIKAKIN held a large all-star project featuring many top YouTubers such as HajimeShacho, Fishers, Sky Peace, Sushi Ramen Riku, etc. The rule is 1 million yen if you can escape from being tagged by the “Onikin” army corps wearing a HIAKIN mask.

The stars rented amusement park, FUJI-Q Highland and the video was uploaded at 7:00 p.m. on the same day and when the viewers in real time exceeded 280,000. And by 7 p.m. on August 8th, the numbers of views exceed 4.6 million and HIKAKIN trended at #1 on YouTube.

But the video was suddenly made private because rumors were going around that the game was suddenly extended for 10 minutes at the completion of the event to reduce the number of people involved in the tag.

HIKAKIN said that he couldn’t believe what he heard and the allegations of wrongdoing but when he confirmed the facts with the production staff, there was an obvious big misunderstanding between the challenger side and the production side. There were situations were a cameraman fell, participants felt uncomfortable and because they put priority to dealing with these issues, there was about 10 minutes during the game that didn’t go well, so it was decided to redo 10 minutes as decided by the production staff.

So, HIKAKIN felt that when he heard of what happened, he was at a loss of words and the video was made private because the decision deliberately reduced the number of people who escaped during the game and what happened was not fair.
