Kodansha’s manga magazine “Evening” will be suspended after the February 28th issue

On Dec. 26th, Kodansha decided to suspend publication of the youth manga magazine “Evening” with the publication release on February 28th next year.

The magazine was launched in 2001 as “Monthly Evening” and has been published twice a month since 2003 under its current name.

Currently, the popular manga “JJM Women’s Judo Club Monogatari” (Yuko Emoto, drawn by Makoto Kobayashi) and “Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo 30th” (written by Seimaru Amagi, comics by Fumiya Sato) are serialized in the magazine.

The current average circulation is about 42,000 copies.
