“Hajime no Ippo” mangaka Morikawa George admitted to his biggest mistake of manga vol. 1 which was released 33 years ago.

Morikawa said, “If you look closely, in Volume 1, the right glove was mistakenly worn on the left hand, and there was no thumb part on the left hand and it was a seam”.

Morikawa confessed that he had redrawn it correctly in volume 138, saying, “The cover has the same composition as in volume 1, but I drew the fist backwards, and I wanted to redraw it someday”.

Vol. 138 of “Hajime no Ippo” was released on July 14th.

表紙は一巻と同じ構図ですが拳を逆に描いてしまい、いつか描き直したいなあと思っていました。
間違いが大きすぎて気づかない例です。
138巻、30年以上かけて一億部に到達しました。
