It was revealed on the 16th that Johnny’s Island, a group company of SMILE-UP., had changed its name to Annex.
The name change is part of the plan as announced by SMILE-UP. president Higashiyama Noriyuki (57) to make sure “everything associated with Johnny’s will disappear”. Johnny’s Jimusho changed to SMILE-UP., J-Station changed to NEXT PART, Johnny’s WEST changed it’s name to WEST. Kanjani8 and Sexy Zone will also be receiving name changes in the near future.
It was also announced that Abe Ryohei (29) of the popular group Snow Man will be joining SMILE-UP.
