Actress Takahashi Maryjun (36), who played the role of Tanaka-san’s belly dancing teacher posted on Instagram Live on January 31st in regards to “Sexy Tanaka-san” creator, Ashihara Hinako’s death.
Takahashi wrote, “The shock was so great that even now, even after all this time, I don’t know what to say. Words like ‘regretable’ and ‘sad’ are not enough. Only she can understand how she feels, but I never wanted something like this to happen. I only know the news and information from her social media, but her dignity and place should be protected no matter what the reason. I loved Ashihara Sensei’s “Sexy Tanaka-san”. When I read it when I was feeling down, it encouraged me and made me grow taller. Thank you so much. The mind and body of the teacher who was close to the hearts of so many people. Please rest in peace now.”
Note: The words “I’ve grown taller” that was mentioned, is a keyword used in the original manga and drama.
