“Long Vacation”, “Beautiful Life”, “Love Story” scriptwriter Kitagawa Etsuko (62) updated her X (formerly Twitter) on the 7th. She posted a photo of herself with actress and singer Nakayama Miho (aged 54 at time of death), who was found to have passed away on the 6th, and film director Iwai Shunji(61), and wrote about her thoughts.
She simply wrote, “Don’t forget me. Don’t forget me even when you go to heaven.” Kitagawa also posted an X on the 6th. “She was the most beautiful actress I have ever met. We went to Paris together. When Non-chan (my daughter, still a small child) saw the Eiffel Tower, she ran off to meet me, picked me up and kissed me on the cheek. We also danced the tango together. She also came to visit me at Keio University. On Sundays, Nakayama Miho was alone in the dark waiting room, waiting for me to come out of the hospital room. I wonder if I will never hear that voice calling me ‘Etchan’ again. Thank you for Misaki and Aoi. I only have beautiful memories. I will continue to cry,” she said.
Nakayama starred in the TBS drama “Love Story,” which Kitagawa wrote the script for, and in the film “Atarashi kutsu wo kawanakucha” (New Shoes Must Be Bought), which Kitagawa directed and filmmaker Iwai produced the film.
