This year, the “Hatsune Miku” live show and special exhibition will be held at the SENDAI venue too! The theme is “Seiga Ichiten”!
“Magical Mirai” is an event that combines a 3DCG live performance of virtual singers such as “Hatsune Miku” with a special exhibition where you can experience the fun of creation. It has been held every year since 2013 as a large-scale event where fans of “Hatsune Miku” and others gather from both Japan and abroad, and has attracted a total of 500,000 people over the past 12 years. In 2024, “Magical Mirai” will be held in Fukuoka for the first time, collaborating with local companies and famous sweets. Not only was it enjoyed by people in the hosting area, but it also attracted fans from other regions and overseas, making it a huge success. In 2025, we plan to continue with various projects and collaborations to liven up the area where the event is being held for the first time, just like last year.
The theme for 2025 is “Seiga Itten,” and there will be live performances and special exhibitions at Sendai Sunplaza and around Sendai Station (SENDAI) from August 1st (Friday) to 3rd (Sunday), at Intex Osaka (OSAKA) from the 9th (Saturday) to the 11th (Monday, holiday), and at Makuhari Messe (TOKYO) from the 29th (Friday) to the 31st (Sunday). At the live performance, Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO will sing and dance to a variety of songs created by creators. At the special exhibition, there will be a wide range of events that can be enjoyed, including exhibitions of illustrations and music works by creators, participatory events for visitors, experience events such as workshops, stage events, booths by companies, and merchandise sales.
The SENDAI special exhibition will be held at multiple venues around Sendai Station, including E-Beans in front of Sendai Station, Event Hall Matsuei, “Datherium” on the first floor of the JR Sendai East Gate Building, Sendai Sun Plaza Hotel, and Sendai Sun Plaza Hall, making it an exhibition that can be enjoyed as you travel around the city of Sendai (one special exhibition ticket will grant you admission to all exhibition venues on the same day).
The main visual is by Tiv! The theme song is “Lastras / *Luna feat. Hatsune Miku”!
The main visual was created by manga artist and illustrator Tiv. Inspired by this year’s event theme, “Starry Sky,” he created an impressive visual of Hatsune Miku singing under a starry sky.
The theme song is by music creator *Luna. You can hear a part of the theme song “Lastras / *Luna feat. Hatsune Miku” in the commercial video released today. The full version will be released at a later date, so please look forward to it.
