In 2011, writer Yu Sasuga and artist Kenichi Tachibana would create “Terra Formars”, a manga series that would become a major hit in Japan.
First serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Young Jump” and an OVA and anime series slated later this year, “Terra Formars” was ranked #1 in the 2013 “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” top 20 Manga for Male Readers survey.
And while the manga has been popular, unfortunately Sasuga Yu’s health has not been well.
Back in March 2017, “Terraformars” had to be put on hold and it was resumed back on April 2018. But it was announced that the manga series will be on hiatus again from the September 13th release and that the series would be resumed on November 15th. But an apology was posted to the readers by Sasuga and the editorial staff.
pic.twitter.com/Yoa0pxDIb8— 「テラフォーマーズ」公式 (@terra_official) November 29, 2018
Fortunately, die-hard fans are rallying behind Sasuga and wanting him to get healthy and return when he’s in the best condition. Some fans said they would wait as long as it takes “as a masterpiece is worth the wait”.
And while Sasuga tries to heal form his illness, illustrator Tachibana Ken-ichi posted the following on Twitter.
復活するその日までどうかお待ちを…!!! pic.twitter.com/FqHk6cYZbW
