Ishida Junichi has lost 60 million in income due to coronavirus trouble

Actor Ishida Junichi has not been the most favorable celebrity in Japan since his actions last summer.

This stems from Ishida getting coronavirus possibly at a golf tournament in Ibaraki Prefecture and then visited Okinawa where he gotten sick, but proceeded to head back home and possibly infected many people along the way . In addition, media questioning why he was with another woman while in Ibaraki (Ishida said he didn’t know her and she was among the guests at the club).

But it was reported that Ishida had dinner with a large number of people at a grilled meat restaurant in Tokyo on January 14th. During a time when Japan is under a State of Emergency.

Ishida went out with three friends and joined two groups of acquaintances and admitted that the meal was for ten people.

Ishida said in an interview with Yahoo! Japan, “It’s not that my work isn’t affected, in fact, I’ve lost commercials and last year’s trouble, I lost about 60 million yen of income.  However, the number of jobs have not reached zero and there are some places in which I continue my previous work”.

Ishida continued, “Of course, last year’s bashing and this last time were my own problems and it was a problem that came down to me but it caused a lot of trouble.  When my job disappears, Make-san also loses his job and I feel bad for those who are involved.  I also put a burden on my family.  I have to be self-conscious of this as we are all riding on the same ship.  When problems happens, we share the same fate and that is the reality”.
