Former AKB48 member Nishino Miki – “I hated the handshake meetings a lot.”

Former AKB48 member Nishino Miki (19) was among the 14th generation of members selected in 2012 and promoted to Team 4 in 2013.  In 2017, she would graduate from the group and focus her career as a TV talent.

Nishino appeared on TOKYO MX’s “Barairo Dandy” and confessed “I hated the handshake meetings a lot”.

“I would be doing it for hours, from the morning until evening, I would get tired and I was sleepy because there were quite a few rows.  So, I would have a technique of shaking hands while sleeping”.

Nishino said fans immediately noticed and they would be upset with her.  She would still be a rebel but then she saw her fandom decrease and her popularity was over.

Nishino said, “I want to apologize to the fans who came at that time, I want to erase the past.  I really am sorry”.
