RIZE drummer Kaneko Nobuaki posted on Instagram regarding the arrests of RIZE’s Jesse and Kaneko Kensuke (KenKen)

Members of the rock band RIZE were arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department for marijuana possession.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Agency, RIZE bassist Kaneko Kensuke a.k.a. “KenKen” (33) was arrested for alleged violation of the Cannabis Control Law on July 19th at his home in Kyoto city.

In addition, RIZE guitarist/vocalist Jesse McFaddin (38), son of world-renown guitarist Char, was arrested for marijuana use at his home in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo on the 19th. McFaddin was in possession of several grams.

RIZE drummer, Nobuaki Kaneko took to Instagram and wrote:

“In regards to JESSE and Kaneko Kensuke, I apologize for the inconvenience and worry to all of the fans.  RIZE is a band of three people and two of them were arrested.  I am still confused, but I would like to be reborn as a band member and I would like to wait for the return of the two.  I sincerely apologize”.

“About the arrest of JESSE”

We deeply apologize to all the fans and concerned parties for the inconvenience and concern in regards to JESSE, an artist belonging to our company, has been arrested for alleged violation of the Cannabis Control Act .

At present, we are conducting a detailed investigation, and as soon as we can confirm the details, we would like to  respond to everyone involved . 

In addition, regarding future treatment, we will handle it strictly while watching the progress of the investigation.

We would like to thank the related parties and fans.  Bassist KenKen (Kaneko Kensuke), a support member of our band Dragon Ash, has been arrested for alleged violations of the Cannabis Control Act . We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern. 

At present, we are confirming the facts in this case, but we are taking this situation seriously and will correspond with everyone which this situation has caused a great inconvenience.

In addition, regarding the treatment of the individual, we will handle it strictly while watching the progress. 

The organizers, staff and members will discuss and respond to live performances, such as festivals, which he was currently scheduled to appear
