Kusanagi Tsuyoshi to return for a third Fukushu (Revenge) drama series

Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (47) worked on the popular TV drama “Zei no Senso” (War of Money) back in 2015 when he was still a SMAP member and in 2017, appeared in “Uso no Senso” (War of Lies), after SMAP disbanded.

Known as the “Fukushu Series” (Revenge Series), it was announced that Kusanagi will return for a third series in January 2023.

This is the eighth time Kusanagi had starred in a serial TV drama for the same station
(Fuji TV/Kansai TV aka Kantere) and it will be the first time for a commercial broadcaster to star in a serial drama after leaving Johnny’s Jimusho.

Kusanagi said of working with Kansai TV, “When I received the offer of the serial drama, I was surprised when I heard about the lead role. I was happy to be able to work on the drama Kansai TV who I am indebted to. My first starring role was for the Kansai TV’s serial drama “Iihito.” It is the origin again and have returned to the starting point!”.

As for returning to the “Fukushu (Revenge) Series”, Kusanagi said, “I’ve heard people want to see the sequels to “War of Money” and “War of Lies”. The “Revenge Series” that the staff, fans, and myself have been waiting for the most. I want to put out all the power I have now!”.
