Former SMAP member Katsuyuki Mori wins his first major event at the 52nd SG Japan Championship

Former SMAP member Mori Katsuyuki, who left the group back in 1996 to pursue a career in professional motorcross, has won his first major event, the auto national championship at the Kawaguchi Circuit in Saitama.

After the win, Mori said, “I owe this to my friends and all my fans.  I want to share the joy with my father, who is my biggest supporter”.

Former SMAP members Inagaki Goro (46), Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (46) and Katori Shingo (43), who are known as Atarashii Chizu, congratulated Mori in a joint statement, “Congratulations on your long-awaited victory at the Japan Championships”.
