Nogizaka46 member Shiraishi Mai’s graduation has been postponed

Nogizaka46 member Shiraishi Mai (27) was to graduate at the Tokyo Dome performance on May 5th but it was announced on the official Nogizaka46 that Shiraishi’s graduation has been postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Shirai wrote on her blog, “I originally planned to graduate from Nogizaka46 at the live performance at Tokyo Dome, which was scheduled on May 5, 6 and 7th.  However, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, it wasn’t possible to do it.  I would like to tell everyone about the schedule of upcoming lives soon, but due to this situation, we are unable to announce the event.  I think that there will be more solo activities, but I would like to do my best to be able to participate as a member of the group while consulting with all the staff, so please support me.  I’d be happy if you could.  I will be a member of Nogizaka46 until the day when I can hold my graduation live.  It may change again depending on the situation.  I think it’s tough everyday, but let’s overcome this and work hard together!  I also want to spend each day careful.  I wish you all a happy smile and I will do my best to do things with full power”.
