“Yotsubato!” vol. 14 to be released on April 28th

Azuma Kiyohiko’s “Yotsubato!” (best known overseas as “Yotsuba&!”) is a popular manga series.  Created by the mangaka responsible for “Azumanga Daioh”, the manga was published in Japan by ASCII Media Works and the last graphic novel, vol. 13, was published back in November 27, 2015.

And while it has been over two years since the last volume has come out, fans of the series are thrilled about today’s announcement that vol. 14 will be released on April 28th.

“Yotsuba&!” is a manga series that is unusual but so much fun!  It revolves around a five-year-old girl named Yotsuba Koiwai, who lives with her adoptive father Mr. Koiwai.

Both have moved to a new town and for Yotsuba, she is very naive to a lot of things she sees around in the city. We are introduced to Mr. Koiwai’s good friend (who is 6 ft., 11 inches) named Takashi “Jumbo” Takeda, who helps them with the move.

Yotsuba eventually meets her new neighbors (who find her weird), the Ayase family which consists of 20-year-old sister Asagi Ayase (a.k.a. “the pretty one”), 16-year old Fuka Ayase (a.k.a. “the one who is not pretty”), 10-year-old Ena Ayase (a.k.a. “the small one”) and their mother Mrs. Ayase (which Yotsuba had started calling her “Mommy”).

Kadokawa’s website Dengeki Online is featuring a special “Yotsubato!” section that allows people to read 11 chapters for free.
