“The 4th Annual Cover Girl Award” grand prize goes to…

On March 4th, it is “Magazine Day” and to commemorate the special day,  The Cover Girl Taisho Jikko Iinkai (Cover Girl Executive Committee) announced its “4th Annual Cover Girl Award”.

The award tabulates 10,000 magazines, electronic magazines from online bookstores and follows which women frequently grace the cover of a magazine.

The Grand Prize goes to:  Arimura Kasumi

Arimura Kasumi had a big debut in 2017 with the NHK drama series “Hiyokko” and she placed second in 2015 and won the grand prize in 2016.  She has appeared on many magazine covers which include “Nikkei WOMAN”, “STREET JACK” and more.

The Entertainment Division goes to: Saito Asuka (Nogizaka 46)

While Shiraishi Mai and Nishino Nanase tend to top the charts, in 2017, Saito Asuka made the top 10 with a solid debut with her first photo collection, “Shiosai”.

The Comic Magazine Division goes to: Asakawa Rina (SUPER ☆ GiRLS)

The Fashion Division goes to: Ishihara Satomi

Ishihara Satomi has won the fashion category prize for three consecutive years.  She also won the award for the age 30’s category as well.

The Gravure Division goes to: Ogura Yuka

The Topic Prize goes to: Tanaka Minami

Teens: Asakawa Rina

20’s: Arimura Kasumi

30’s: Ishihara Satomi
