SKE48 members promote public baths for TV TOKYO’s “SKE48 ga Hitofuro Abisasete Itadakimasu!”

For six days on March 21, 22, 26, 27, 28 and 29, TV Tokyo will be airing the five minute program “SKE48 ga Hitofuro Abisasete Itadakimasu!” (SKE48 Let’s take a bath!) which airs at 1:30 a.m. to 1:35 a.m.

The short episodes showcase SKE48 members traveling around public bathes in Tokyo and taking a bath.

Members participating including Suda Akari, Oba Mina, Takayanagi Akane, Soda Sarina, Furuhata Nao and Matsumura Kaori as the six are out to promote the “sento” (Japanese public bath) culture which has been decreasing in Tokyo.

Takayanagi Akane said, “Bath x idol, I think it’s teh best.  I do not want people to forget about the traditional Japanese culture of “sento” and I would like the younger people to know more about it.  And as more people from different countries are coming to Japan for the Tokyo Olympic Games, I am looking forward to people seeing a public bath and try it.  In order to spread the culture of public baths, in the next single of SKE48, I would like to see a new song dedicated to public baths as a coupling song and a music video shot at a public bath.  I will do my best in this program!”.
