DEFEND PARIS x ayumi hamasaki – DEFEND TOKYO collaboration for the spirit of LGBT

DEFEND PARIS is one of the popular brands.

According to their company summary: DEFEND PARIS means to defend all, no matter who you are. If you want a brand that has a purpose, a meaning, and looks edgy on top of that, look no further. It’s for the bold female who wants to make more than a fashion statement, but a statement in her fashion. With black and white color tones at its base, it’s built for lasting through the ages.

And now DEFEND PARIS will collaborate with pop star Hamasaki Ayumi for DEFEND TOKYO designs which Hamasaki supervised.

The lyrics from her 2015 single “how beautiful you are” are featured on the back of the T-Shirt and was a song with a positive message from Hamasaki for LGBT.

Hamasaki who has been vocal for support of LGBT and the spirit of LGBT on her Instagram for many years.

Hamasaki had written, “Why is it that in Japan, it’s hard for people to understand minority such as the LGBT or for women to have any power in a male society.  In Japan, I have the feeling that I must do something with my own power somehow against the present situation as its not fully understood yet”.

The shirts will be sold at the Saitama Super Arena performance on April 7, 2018.  The TeamAyu official shop will start selling the T-shirts (Y7000) and hats (Y5800) on April 5th and the mu-mo shop will start selling the t-shirts on April 6th.

A pop up store will be available at Laforet Harajuku 1st floor from April 6th through April 9th (11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.).  Only one shirt per customer, first-come, first served basis.  Sales will end when the planned number of items are sold.  If you want to purchase multiple items, you will need to return back to the back of the line after making your first purchase.
