Cheeky Parade disbanding on July 31, 2018

Cheeky Parade is officially disbanding on July 31, 2018.

A message was posted by Avex Management on the official Cheeky Parade website that they will be disbanding and seven members will be taking part in their final live.  Details TBA.

Cheeky Parade (known as “Chikipa” to their fans) was formed back on February 19, 2012 and made their major debut on January 9, 2013.

Watanabe Asami wrote, “Cheeky Parade is over.  We do not really feel that actually feeling of “fun” right now and just trying to understand things makes me feel frustrated and a lot of emotions all at once.  Fans who cheered for Cheeky Parade, I’m really sorry”.

Watanabe continued, “Even though we are breaking up, please do not forget that cheeky Parade existed”.

Sekine Yuna wrote, “To be honest, I can not accept it myself, I have mixed emotions, I really feel sad.  I’m very disappointed that it has to end like this.  Thinking about your feelings makes me even hurt even more.  It’s impossible to reply to everyone who has supported us…I’m really sorry.  I’m very sorry”.

Suzuki Mariya and Yamamoto Marin are both studying in Los Angeles at the moment.

Yamamoto wrote, “Thank you so much for supporting Chikipa. I am sorry that I can’t fulfill my promise of standing in front of you again with all nine members. I thank everyone for their support. When I made up my mind to study abroad so I can grow, I have a feeling of regret because I wanted to do a lot of lives when I returned home. I will return for the last live and I will do my best with the final live with no regrets. I am very thankful to all of you”.

Suzuki Mariya wrote, “Although I was studying abroad and studying hard, I got to learn a lot but I should have returned to Chikipa. I am shocked, lonely and I can’t find the right words of what to say…I’m sorry for the people who believed and supported me. I am very sorry but I want to see you for the last live. The last Cheeky Parade…I wish to spend the best day with all of you at the last Chikipa”.

Mariya’s older Sister Yuriya wrote, “My heart is in so much pain thinking of everyone who has cheere dfor us. I had a dream to debut with my sister long ago, so I was very happy when we were in Chikipa together. I am grateful for everything that I have experienced through Chikipa”.
