misono is relocating to Taiwan to restart her music career

Singer misono (36) will be relocating to Taiwan.

With a goal to revive her music career, she plans to start a new life in a foreign country leaving her husband Nosuke (29), the drummer of the band HighsidE in Japan.  The two will become a “long distance couple”.

misono said she intends to start from scratch while living in Taiwan.

Back in October 2014, misono released her album “Ie -Uchi-” and the cover for the album featured text which said if she doesn’t sell 10,000 copies, misono won’t be able to release another CD.  The album failed to sell over 10,000 copies.  The album sold 2,856 copies and she has not release a CD single or album in Japan since.

In February 2016, misono performed a solo performance in Taiwan and would go on private trips to Taiwan, reaffirming her enjoyment and charm of the locals.  And posting on her blog that she is learning Chinese.

While misono will continue her work as a talent in Japan, she intends to emphasize all music activity in Taiwan.

misono is the younger sister of singer, Koda Kumi and began her career as the vocalist of the three-member pop group, Day After Tomorrow, which was produced by Every Little Thing member, Igarashi Mitsuru.
