PASSPO ☆ to disband after their 9/22 performance

The all-female idol group PASSPO ☆ announced on their official website that the group will be disbanding officially on September 22nd, 2018.

The website announcement is as follows:

Thank you always for supporting PASSPO ☆.

We decided to disband after our one man live which will be held at Nakano Sun Plaza on September 22, 2018.  We apologize for the sudden announcement.

Since the end of last year, we have discussed with each other about the future activities of both the crew and the staff and there was a feeling that “what if we can’t keep on going with seven members” and so the path to disband was what was chosen.

PASSPO ☆ started as a group of ten people back in 2009 and we saw the graduation of three members afterward.  The group has been active only with the original members so it was decided by the crew’s strong determination to keep going with seven members.  The goal was to “continue, even when we grew up old as grandmothers, to become a performance group that would sing and dance” and that was the inspiration to everyone involved more than anything else.

We are very sorry that we came up with this decision.

In behalf of management, we would like you to respect the future of each member from now on.  We would like you to continue to sing the songs of PASSPO ☆ even after they disband, leaving a space where they can sing in some form in the future.  Members will continue to support each other as much as possible.

Up until now, all of you have supported PASSPO ☆, supported them and raised them.

A live tour will begin on May 20th.  The members and the staff will give their full effort, so please give us a warm cheer to Nakano Sun Plaza on September 22nd, which will be the final performance of PASSPO ☆.
