It appears that anything that is featuring the character Amuro Toru on the cover is selling out publications at bookstores throughout Japan.

Amuro Toru is a character for “Meitantei Conan” (Detective Conan) and since the release of the animated film “Meitantei Conan Zero no Shikko Hito” (Detective Conan Zero Enforcer) back in April, the character has been selling out publications.

The character is known for having three identities, Furuya Rei (is his real name), Amuro Toru and Bourbon (Black Organization). And the super popular character who works for the National Police Agency Security Bureau Security Planning, Chiyoda Division and an agent who is working undercover in the Black Organization.

And with “Shonen Sunday S” June issue (released on April 25th) and the July issue (released on May 25th) selling out at book stores, the editor-in-chief, Ichihara Tsutomu apologized for those who were upset they were unable to purchase these books and said that he wants to make sure the two books reach out to as many people who have tried to purchase them and will have these two issues reprinted after June 13th.  Arrival to bookstores depends on region.
