A few commenters criticized Yamada Yu for being insensitive on her Instagram post on the day of the earthquake

Yamada Yu received some flack for an Instagram post in which she wrote about feeling troubled because of traffic.

At the time it was posted, it was shortly done before the earthquake hit the Osaka area and many people took to Instagram to criticize her of being insensitive.

Some who wrote that her inconvenience is nothing like the inconvenience the people are suffering in Osaka right now.

関西、京都、滋賀、近畿地方の皆様、地震の揺れが凄かったみたいですね。 今知りました。 今後の被害がないことを祈っています。 皆様、気を付けて下さい。

Yamada then posted on Instagram, “Everyone in the Kansai, Kyoto, Shiga, Kinki District, the earthquake was huge.  I know now.  I hope there will not be any major damage in the future.  Everyone, please be careful”.

While people were being critical, there were others who were supportive.  One said, “Since entertainers have influence, they should be more aware”.  While others wrote, that not everyone in the Kanto region were aware of the earthquake in the Kansai area.
