Due to poor health, Matsui Jurina will not participate in any SKE48, AKB48G activities and has pulled out of “Produce 48”

Since Matsui Jurina winning the Senbatsu Sosenkyo (and collapsing hours before the event, while she returned, she was barely able to perform), SKE48 management pulled Matsui from various events to give her time to recover.

SKE48 manager Yuasa Hiroshi released a statement that because she has been in poor health and needs more time to recover, she will be pulled from any SKE48 and AKB48G activities as she needs to focus on recovering.

She will also not be taking part in any social media, including private e-mails, while inactive.

International news agencies are reporting that this includes pulling out of mNet’s “Produce48”. Produce 48 has also released an update on their Twitter:

SKE48 Matsui Jurina reportedly left the show, ‘Produce 48’ according to a staff of the broadcasting company, MNET on July 7th.

Her management wrote to all fans and those who are concerned, they apologize for the inconvenience and worries but appreciate your understanding.  They will report back when Matsui Jurina is able to return.
