Former Momoiro Clover member Hayami Akari is getting married

Former Momoiro Clover member Hayami Akari (before the group became Momoiro Clover Z) graduated from the group back in 2011 and pursued a career as a fashion model and as an actress.

Hayami (23) will be marrying a company employee in his early 30’s.  According to an interview with Sankei Sports, the two have been dating for the past four years and he proposed last year.

They met through an acquaintance and both had similar tastes in food and went to dinner and then eventually started going to the zoo, an aquarium together.

He proposed to her at Hayami’s home and was given a diamond engagement ring.  Hayami said she had a strong desire to get married.

As for the wedding ceremony and reception, that is still undecided.  Hayami said she is still researching it.  But she has been trying on wedding dresses.

Hayami said in the interview that she hopes the two can start a family and wants to continue working.

Hayami joined Momoiro Clover back in 2008 and her idol color was blue.  But in 2011, she felt she was no longer interested in staying as an idol and wanted to pursue acting.   Hayami said she hasn’t told the other members of Momoiro Clover Z yet but they would be surprised.

The two plan to register their marriage on July 23rd.
