New CM released for “Katekyo Hitman Reborn! the STAGE”, new character roles announced

A new commercial for “Katekyo Hitman Reborn! the STAGE” has been released and in addition to the CM, a new website and Twitter account was created.

“Katekyo Hitman Reborn!” is a manga written and illustrated by Amano Akira and revolves around a young boy named Sawada Tsunayoshi, who discovers he is the next in line to become a boss of the powerful manga family, the Vongola family.  The Vongola’s most powerful hitman, a gun-toting young infant named Reborn is sent to teach Tsunayoshi on how to become a mafia boss.

The manga series began in 2004 and ended in 2012 with a total of 42 volumes created.

An anime series was released from 2006-2010 with a total of 203 episodes + 2 OVA’s created.

For “Katekyo Hitman Reborn! the STAGE”, the play is written and directed by Maruo Maruichiro.

Sawada Ryohei will be playing the role of Sawada Tsunayoshi (who also plays Monkey D. Luffy in the “One Piece Live Attraction” show at Tokyo One Piece Tower.  34-year-old actress/fashion model Neeko who did the voice of Reborn in the anime series will reprise her role as Reborn.

“Katekyo Hitman Reborn! The STAGE” will take place at the Galaxy Theater from September 21-30 in Tokyo and at Mielparque Hall Osaka from October 3-6 in Osaka.
