Poster and Trailer for “Gekijo-ban City Hunter” was released

The poster for “Gekijo-ban City Hunter” (City Hunter the Movie) was released.

The film is based on Hojo Tsukasa’s manga series and the two original voice talents, Kamiya Akira and Ikura Kazue will reprise the role of Saeba Ryo and Makimura Kaori.

“City Hunter” written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo and was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1985-1991. A total of 35 tankobon volumes were published by Shueisha.

A 51-episode animated series was released by Sunrise Studios in 1987, followed by a “City Hunter 2” 63-episode animated series which began in April 1988 and ended in July 1989, then a 13-episode anime series for “City Hunter 3” aired from October 1989 through January 1990 and in April-October 1991, a 13-episode “City Hunter ’91” animated series was released.

A theatrical animated film titled “.357 Magnum” was released in June 1989, followed by three TV animated films: “The Secret Service” in 1996 , “Goodbye My Sweetheart” in 1997 and “Death of the Vicious Criminal Ryo Saeba” in 1999.

“Gekijo-ban City Hunter” will be released in theaters in Japan on February 8th, 2019.
