Nogizaka46’s Wakatsuki Yumi announces that she will be graduating from the group

Nogizaka46 member Wakatsuki Yumi announced on her blog that she will be graduating from the group on November 30th.

Similar to Nishino Nanase who announced her graduation, Wakatsuki Yumi has also appeared on dramas and will be starring in the October-December NTV drama, “Kyo Kara Ore Wa!!”.  And it looks as if acting will be her  focus in the next chapter of her life.

Wakatasuki wrote on her blog.

Nogizaka46 changed my life.  Not really “changed” but “changing” is a better way to describe it.

It gave me a dream when I had no future goals.

There were times when I felt troubled, but now I feel refreshed because of all the warm support you given me.

I really appreciate it.

After seven years, I began to think again of how I was cheered by many wonderful fans and had the best staff to support me.

Nogizaka46 is a wonderful group I am proud of.

Wakatsuki goes on to say:

I, Wakatsuki Yumi, will graduate from Nogizaka46.

The schedule and details are still under discussion.  To the fans, in some form or other, I am planning to greet you.

Although the announcement is sudden, with the staff, it’s something I have been thinking over and over again for a long period of time and this time, I decided to graduate.
