AKB48’s “No Way Man” surpasses 3 million views on YouTube

It didn’t take long for AKB48 to achieve 3 million views on YouTube for their latest music video “No Way Man”.

As we posted yesterday, the group surpassed the first day views of their previous 2017-2018 music videos and even management were quick to acknowledge the views the video was getting from viewers worldwide because it features IZ*ONE members Miyawaki Sakura (HKT48), Yabuki Nako (HKT48) and Honda Hitomi (AKB48) and also features members of AKB48G who were trainees on the Mnet show, “Produce48”.

The comments featured on the music video for the first day of release was diverse with English, Korean, Chinese and various international languages not seen in previous AKB48 releases.

While Miyawai Sakura, Yabuki Nako, and Honda Hitomi will not take part in AKB48G related activities for the next 2.5 years, their is hope that with the AKB48G members participation in “Produce48”, the three being part of IZ*ONE and exposure to K-Pop fans not familiar with AKB48G music may attract new fans to AKB48G.

As for IZ*ONE’s Miyawaki Sakura, Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi, they will be performing in their first show-con later tonight to promote their new album “COLOR*IZ” which comes out at 6:00 p.m. today.
