misono leaves avex to become an indie artist

misono (34) left avex, the label at have been responsible for her success as the vocalist of Day After Tomorrow and her solo career (as well as her sister, Koda Kumi’s music career).

misono has been with avex for 16 years and at the end of October, she went independent.

Last month, she and her husband, drummer Nosuke (29) decided to establish their own music company and wants to expand her musical activity overseas.

In 2016, misono held her first overseas live solo in Taiwan and wants to continue to fulfill her dreams and wants to perform in the US, Canada and Thailand in cooperation with Nosuke.
