Actress Tokiwa Takako (46) will be starring in the TBS drama “Nichiyo Gekijo Good Wife” (Sunday Theater Good Wife) which will be on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. starting on January 4th.
The last time Tokiwa starred in a Nichiyo Gekijo drama “Beautiful Life” (2000), which she starred alongside Kimura Takuya. The drama received a 41.3% final average.
The drama will revolve around Hinomi Kyoko who returns as a lawyer for the first time in 16 years.
As she was a housewife, she returns to work as a lawyer after her husband, who was a director of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor’s Office was arrested for corruption and now she must work and be there for her children.
Tokiwa said, “Since I was originally raised working with TBS, there is a feeling that I’m home. Because there are many things that have changed since I worked here, I am looking forward to it and looking forward to seeing the new talent and I am willing to do my best”.
The drama is a remake of “The Good Wife” which was broadcast in the United States for seven years since 2009.
