Last Idol survival horror live action film adaptation “Gakko Gurashi!” trailer and poster released

It was announced that members of the idol group Last Idol will be appearing in the survival horror film “Gakko Gurashi” (School-Live!) which will be released in January 2019.

And today, the trailer and movie poster was released.

The film is based on the manga by Nitroplus’ Kaiho Norimitsu and illustrator Chiba Sadoru and revolves around Takeya Yuki and her high school friends from attending Megurigaoka Private High School and a zombie outbreak takes place in their city.  As the outbreak reaches their school and many students and teachers are infected, Takeya’s friends try to protect her, while she tries to find fun school activities.

While the zombie outbreak is happening, Takeya thinks that everything is normal and quite delusional about what is occurring in town.

The manga is quite popular, selling over 2 million copies.

Starring in the film are Last Idol members Abe Nana (La Luce), Nagatsuki Midori (Choux Cream Rockets), Majima Wakana (Someday Somewhere) and Kiyohara Rio (Someday Somewhere).

The film will be directed by producer/filmmaker Shibata Issei.
