misono’s husband, Nosuke to suspend activities due to illness

Professional drummer Nosuke, the husband of pop star, misono announced that he had been having stomach pains.

After a concert on November 11th, he went to the hospital and had blood tests, urine test, CT scan and waited for the results.

Nosuke found out that a germ cell tumor was found due to testicular carcinoma under the stomach and it is 15 cm long (about six inches) and it was very large.

Nosuke will be seeking treatment and will be fighting for recovery.

He will be blogging about his daily life and treatment process and how he is feeling.  But for now, he will have to suspend activities until he recovers.

Nosuke mentioned that misono will be opening a YouTube channel.

What is a germ cell tumor?

According to Mayoclinic:

Germ cell tumors are growths that form from reproductive cells. Tumors may be cancerous or noncancerous. Most germ cell tumors that are cancerous occur as cancer of the testicles (testicular cancer) or cancer of the ovaries (ovarian cancer).

Some germ cell tumors occur in other areas of the body, such as the abdomen, brain and chest, though it’s not clear why. Germ cell tumors that occur in places other than the testicles and ovaries (extragonadal germ cell tumors) are very rare.

Germ cell tumors tend to respond to treatment and many can be cured, even when diagnosed at a late stage.
