SMAP fans overjoyed that Nakai Masahiro introduced a SMAP song on “Dai 44-kai Radio Charity Musicthon”

Nakai Masahiro (46) did a surprise introduction on December 24th for the “Dai 44-kai Radio Charity Musicthon” which was hosted by Johnny’s Jr. group, Kis-My-Ft 2.

Nakai who sounded as if he was on the phone said “I’d like to present a song to this girl on Christmas” and then he entered the studio and surprised the members of Kis-My-Ft 2.

Nakai talked with the members and introduced SMAP’s sixth single (from 1992) “Yuki ga Futtekita”.

Many fans took to social media to show their joy and happiness of Nakai playing a SMAP song.  The group which disbanded back on December 31, 2016 have went their own separate ways with Katori Shingo, Inagaki Goro and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi working together and Nakai and Kimura Takuya having busy entertainment careers, but when it comes to discussing SMAP, you won’t really see them discuss their past, especially as a SMAP member.

One fan commented, “There are many SMAP Christmas songs and winter songs but Nakai chose a song with all six members including Mori-kun”.

NTV Announcer Genta Aoki commented on Twitter, “Nakai-san, everyone of Kis-My, thank you.  SMAP’s ‘Yuki ga Futtekita’ is a song I bought and saved my pocket money when I was younger.  I was impressed, it became a white Christmas on Christmas Eve”.
