Were important characters missing in the 20th anniversary popular character vote for “Tennis no Oujisama” (Prince of Tennis)

From January 4th through February 14th will be the 20th anniversary popular character vote for the series, “Tennis no Oujisama”.

But were important characters missing in the voting process?

Shueisha’s “Jump SQ.” Editorial Department issued a “very serious” apology.

In the popular vote which has nearly 280 characters entered from “Tennis no Oujisama” (Prince of Tennis) and “Shin Tennis no Oujisama” (New Prince of Tennis), but two characters appear to be missing: “Kaede” (hamster) and “King of Satan” (a beetle)

People commented, “Were they important characters?” to “Well, why don’t we just include the iguana, the pet dogs or horse?”.

Even rackets were included as characters in the voting process.
