40th Anniversary Special Screening of “Ace o Nerae!” theatrical release to be held from March 8-15

Back in 1973, mangaka Yamamoto Sumika would create a manga series titled “Ace o Nerae!” (Aim for the Ace!). The manga series was serialized in Shueisha’s “Margarate” from January 1973 through February 1980 and received an anime adaptation that same year courtesy of Tokyo movie, another anime TV series titled “Shin Ace o Nerae!”) and anime film released in September 1979, two OVA’s and a Japanese television drama in 2004 starring Ueto Aya.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film’s release, Yujiku Asagaya will be screening the theatrical version from March 8th through the 15th.
