Former Dream 5 member Shigemoto Kotori announces her retirement from entertainment industry

Former Dream 5 member and leader Shigemoto Kotori announced on her Instagram and her blog that she will be retiring from the entertainment industry.

皆さんにご報告です。 私、重本ことりは 芸能界を引退することにしました。 2018年にグラビアデビューした時は、 仲良くしていて、欲しいという情報をあげていた写真週刊誌フライデー編集長やグラビア担当の人たちの裏切りがあったり、 制作スタッフの方々が、見ている人に楽しんでもらおうとした編集が世に出てしまったことで、AAAファンの方々に死ねとか消えろとか言われたことも、もうなんとも思っていませんが、 やっぱり私を応援してくれるファンを傷つけることはしたくないのと、 芸能人同士だから名前を伏せるのはマナーだと思っていましたが、コソコソだれかと付き合ったりするのも嫌だし もう嘘だらけの芸能界に夢とか未練はありません。 紅白も出場してアーティストとしてはよくやったと思っています。 ワンマンライブ中止や、今月からスタートする予定だった大きなプロジェクトも、いろんな人に準備してもらったのに、ファンのみなさんにも楽しみにしてもらっていたのに申し訳ないと思っています。 私の気持ちを理解してくれる関係者の方々とは今でも仲良くしてますし、これからも仲良くしていきたいと思ってます。 私のSNSのアカウントは、今後、これまで関係した方々の告知の拡散のために使って行く予定です。 これまで応援してくださったみなさん、ありがとうございました。

Shigemoto wrote that she not longer has a dream to be in the entertainment world and apologized to her fans for canceling her one-man live event. Shigemoto also said she does not want to be associated in an industry full of lies. She thanked everyone for their support.
