The show must go on… injured Kubota Masataka was able to perform on stage in a wheelchair

On March 12th, actor Kubota Masataka injured his right foot on the stage of “Toban Kaze no Matasaburo” which will be ending on March 13th.

Despite the injury, Kubota endured the pain while standing on stage right until the end and went straight to the hospital after the performance.

Kubota now is wearing a cast after damaging the right knee meniscus caused during a scene which featuresd intense movement.

As the show must go on…Kubota was a professional and performed in a wheelchair and was able to perform his role for both day and night performances.

At the curtain call, many female fans shed tears and cried and Kubota tried to stand up several times to show his gratitude.

Kubota with tears said, “I regret not being able to show you a perfect performance for the play” but many in the audience were proud of his performance and the fact that he continued on despite his injury.
