AKB48 and King Records announced that security cameras will be installed in the NGT48 handshake lane (including for NGT48/AKB48 member, Kashiwagi Yuki) a the “NO WAY MAN” handshake event at Pacifico Yokohama on March 16th and 17th.
In the announcement, the following was posted. “At the management’s discretion, a recording security camera will be installed on the NGT48 handshake lane. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding in advance”.
The announcement stems from the assault on NGT48 member Yamaguchi Maho (23) by so-called NGT48 fans back in December. An investigation by a third party continues and theater performances have partially resumed but group handshake meetings had been canceled. This handshake event will feature all AKB48G but will feature members that were decided in advance. Yamaguchi Maho will not be participating in this handshake event.
