Visiting the Yotsuba&! Exhibition of Original Manga Drawings at Ikebukuro PARCO

Azuma Kiyohiko (known for the slice-of-life manga series, “Azumanga Daioh”)  created his big hit “Yotsuba&!” back in March 2003 and since then, the manga series has sold 16.7 million copies with a total of 14 volumes released.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the manga series, “Yotsuba&! Exhibition of Original Manga Drawings” is being held at Ikebukuro PARCO on April 5-22.

We visited the exhibit yesterday afternoon and while we can definitely recommend checking it out! There is not much we can blog about because unfortunately, aside from what is outside the exhibit, photos are not allowed inside.

But we can say that the exhibit features cool artwork by Azuma Kiyohiko and also, you can purchase cool merch if you are a big “Yotsuba&!” fan.  And if that wasn’t enough, just right outside is a “Meitantei Conan” limited time cafe plus a “Pop Team Epic” 3rd Season Pop Up Store (and cafe at the Seibu building).

And we’ll post photos about that soon.
