AKB48’s Minegishi Minami apologizes to her fans and Hosogai Kei fans

When a tabloid photo of Hosogai Kei (34) caressing the face of AKB48 member, Minegishi Minami (26) and the two looking very close with one another was released to the public, needless to say that it started a small uproar.

Minegishi, known for shaving her head back in 2013 for violating AKB48’s strict no-date rule, has not commented, but Hosogai Kei quickly took to Twitter to post an apology to Minegishi and her fans.

Yesterday, Hosogai apologized writing, “Hosogai wrote, “I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused to the fans and everyone concerned for my careless behavior. I apologize to Minegishi Minami and Minegishi’s fans for making them feel bothered and uncomfortable. In the future, I will refrain from misleading actions and will continue to make efforts in focusing as an actor”.”

This time Minegishi Minami took Twitter to write an apology:

Minegishi wrote, “I am sorry that I made many people feel upset by this unconscious behavior. In addition, I would like to apologize to Mr. Hosogai Kei and all his fans and “Futari Okuni” for their support and to those who felt very uncomfortable. And to all of the fans who support 48G, and all the juniors, I must reflect on my unintended action as a first generation member. I am grateful for my situation, I am taking responsibility and will continue to work hard. I am really sorry”.

Minegishi Minami is currently appearing in the musical “Futari Okuni”.
