Suzuki Nana apologized on TOKYO MX’s “Tamura Atsushi no Kikitai-Hodai!” for opening pitch delay

In a game between the Rakuten Eagles and Chiba Lotte Marines on April 27th, the game was delayed due to the opening pitch by model Suzuki Nana.

Suzuki took to the mound to pitch, but each time she said she was going to pitch, she didn’t do it. One mascot kept pointing at his wrist (to let her know the time). Granted, it only took less than two minutes but for those cold and in the rain, it probably lasted much longer than they hoped for.

And unfortunately, those who were angered took to Twitter, Suzuki’s Instagram to show their disappointment.

Taishi Foods which Suzuki Nana promotes their product “Itchoyose-sei Tofu”, took to Twitter to apologize to baseball fans for the delay:

Needless to say, baseball fans were not too happy with Suzuki Nana and have said they do not want her to be do any opening pitches ever again.

London Boots’ Tamura Atsushi asked her about it on TOKYO MX’s “Tamura Atsushi no Kikitai-Hodai!” and Suzuki said, “I apologize for the inconvenience.  I’m sorry…I felt very sorry and it was so cold and it was raining, so I could not throw it quickly and I was really upset.  I am sorry!” (which Suzuki looked like she was in tears).
