For those not familiar with our reviews, we refer to names in the Japanese style, so family names first, first name second

Things go crazy when Komugi’s mother-in-law finds out about her being a former biker gang member and as for Dai, when he finds out his older brother is coming back home, with all this emotion building up inside of him, what happens when Dai finally tries to make a move on his sister-in-law?

Find out in the final volume 4 of Nemu Yoko’s “The Delinquent Housewife!”.

What is “The Delinquent Housewife!” about?

From manga artist Nemu Yoko comes “Futsutsuka Na Yome Desuga!” (“The Delinquent Housewife!”), a manga series that was released in North America courtesy of Vertical Comics.

The series revolves around a woman named Komugi who is marrying a man named Tohru and comes to stay with his family.

While she is welcomed by Tohru’s mother, his grandfather (who tends to be a bit perverted) and his younger brother Dai, his younger sister Yukari has no interest in welcoming Komugi to the family.

While the family prepares for Tohru and Komugi’s marriage, Tohru announces that he has to go on a business trip next week and Komugi will stay with his family and he’ll be back in a week.

While Komugi leaves at night, making the family think that she is working, one day Dai goes to the convenience store and sees Komugi. And she sees him slapping a guy and the guy gabbing her by her shirt. Dai comes to her rescue but then she tells him it’s not what he was thinking.

Dai learns that Komugi is actually a yankee and has no true skills to be a wife. She doesn’t know how to cook, do laundry, and she is depressed that Tohru’s family may find her useless.

But as Dai agrees to keep Komugi’s secret, a girl that likes him, Yoshino, is intensely jealous and will do what she can to prevent Dai from going after Komugi.  Meanwhile, Komugi’s mother is becoming even more suspicious about Komugi’s past life as a biker gang member.

And now everything culminates into this final fourth volume!

The fourth and final volume of “The Delinquent Housewife” is here and now we have the conclusion of various storylines.  For one, what happens when Dai’s suspicious mother confirms the truth that she had worried so long about…that Komugi is a former biker gang member.

And why does his mother have a dislike towards biker gangs?

Meanwhile, Tohru announces that he is coming back home. And of course, poor Dai, being around Komugi and realizing his feelings towards his sister-in-law is starting to grow and grow. While Komugi thinks Dai is falling hard for Yoshino, in truth, Dai knows he is falling for his sister-in-law and with Tohru coming back home, he feels now is the time he must make his move and make his feelings known?

But if Dai tries to make a move on his sister-in-law, how will this affect things between Komugi and him?

Needless to say that this series has managed to captivate me with its characters (great character development) and each chapter left you clamoring for more and more!

As we approached the end of this cool and captivating comedy manga series by Nemu Yoko, it was well-done from beginning to end. Her artwork is well done and she has her own distinct style of artwork that I’m really enjoying!

If you are looking for a refreshing yet entertaining and fun manga, especially one that doesn’t last a long time and is only four volumes long, definitely give Nemu Yoko’s “The Delinquent Housewife!” a try! I highly recommend it!
