Tabloid Shunkan Bunshun has an article of why Kalafina really broke up and whether or not is true, one thing the article touched upon, many fans know its true.  Kajiura Yuki, the super producer, composer, musician of the music world (especially for anime music and is regarded as the “Akimoto Yasushi of the anime world”) was the guide which Kalafina relied on and when she left, it was expect that the group would not continue.

As for details that there was a friction in relationship, whether or not it is true, we have interviewed Kalafina several times and have saw no signs of any negative vibes.

Last March, the group broke up but not everyone was sure why or if each of the members wanted to pursue other activities.  But the tabloid is saying that it was due to internal conflicts and also that the members didn’t have a strong relationship, especially as more attention was focused on member Keiko.

The article also says that there were problems with the management in terms of receiving payment from their management company or the amount received was less.

But they said that a former executive known as “Mr. M” was able to unite the three members despite their differences.  Mr. M and the president of the management’s working relationship was deteriorating and at a live show on September 2016, the president allegedly shouted to Mr. M, “are you a spy?” in front of dozens of guests and  Mr. M, was not given a seat at the event he was invited to. Mr. M would leave the management company in June 2017.

Supposedly a staff member said, “Although Kalafina had broken up, the members would reunite again if it was under Kajiura-san”.

Shunkan Bunshun wanted to confirm the facts from Spacecraft and were told, “With respect to the fact that Mr. M’s seat was not prepared, a few days prior to the live, a list was prepared for invited guests including Mr. M.  We also invited people who were not on the list and this resulted in giving up seats to those people who came in”.

As for the others, the response was “Mr. M, Kajiura, Keiko and Hikaru have left the company at their own discretion”.
