UPDATE: NGT48 theater manager Hayakawa Maiko created a Twitter account

There is no doubt that the new NGT48 theater manager Hayakawa Maiko has inherited a lot of crap and vitriol since taking over as NGT48 manager and now has the difficult role of trying to salvage NGT48 and earn the trust of the fans and the city they represent.

With NGT48 members SNS accounts stopped, Hayakawa wanted to tweet to the public and for the most part, this is a positive that she is being more proactive when the others of AKS and NGT48 staff weren’t.

Hayakawa wrote:

I am Hayakawa Maiko, the manager of NGT48 theater. I will be tweeting starting today.

First of all, I feel very sorry for the members who we were unable to take care in spite of the damage and the members who have graduated with a lot of sadness and pain.

I apologize deeply to all the people of NGT48 including Niigata Prefecture for making many people feel unpleasant.

However, even at this moment, a lot of our members are suffering from slander, online harassment, spreading of lies, etc. on the Internet. Members themselves and their families are having unbearable days in an environment that they can not say a thing.

As a manager who is entrusted by each member, I would like to disseminate information for our members of NGT48 if it can make a difference.

We hope that you can understand that a rumor is only a rumor and not a fact.

While some felt it was a good first step (although a bit late), others were not as understanding and wants her to take responsibility and resign, while others want the truth to be revealed of the Yamaguchi Maho assault case.

But we’ll have to see if Hayakawa intends to answer comments on her Twitter account.

UPDATE: Hayakawa has tweeted a bit more past midnight….

Hayakawa wrote:

It is not legally possible for the company to withdraw the damage report against the will of the person. There is also no fact that he instructed it. Only the person or their family can tell you why he/she was not prosecuted by the prosecutor’s office.

There are no members responsible for the assault on 12/8. Members who were interviewed by the police have voluntarily done interviews to cooperate with the investigation and submitted their own personal mobile phones and it is acknowledged that they were not involved.
